These shutters really look nice installed. I had my doubts because, like all vinyl shutters, these felt flimsy and cheap when I took them out of the box. But, once installed they looked really nice. And, I think the ones without the little cathedral top look more like real wood than the ones with the arch at the top. We are very happy with the look. The only thing I wish is that they came in more colors. We got forest green and it's still a little dark. I would have liked something that looked a little fresher. But, still, I am satisfied.
I also was really happy with Larson. I had a couple of measurement questions and called before ordering. The guy was really knowledgeable and helped me to get the perfect size.

The shutter has nice detail – woodgrain appearance and beading. Unlike a competing manufacturer, Mid-America supplied good online pictures that allow a sharp, close look at the detail. That's important when ordering a custom size that can't be returned. However, the tiny plastic keys that seem to be there to add stability to each louver break easily when light pressure is applied. A little more heft in this shutter wouldn't be a bad thing.

shutters were created exactly to my dimensions. Only issue I had was the front and back shutter (as packed) had some 'scuffs' on them. These did not come out. I think you should protect each shutter with a paper product between each one...since they 'slide' during shipping.

We ordered Straight Top, Open Louver, Center Mullion Vinyl Shutters from Larson. Our shutter had been ripped off in a storm, and I needed a custom size. Knowing a custom size could not be returned, I researched many companies, looking for quality customer service, positive reviews, and reasonable prices. Larson had all three. They arrived in a few days with both shutter locks and screws, and simple installation instructions on the box. The shutters themselves were exactly what I ordered, but I read enough reviews to know that Larson would replace them if they were damaged in any way.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that my old shutters were attached with side brackets, and because they were 16" wide, and the closest Larson could create were 16 1/4", I could only use the brackets on one side. Also, when I put in my specifications for the new shutters, the drawing on the website didn't reflect those changes, but the choices (straight top, open louver, etc) were clearly marked, and I was confident they would be made correctly.
Overall, the shutters from Larson were easy to customize on the website, reasonably priced, arrived in 3 days, and were simple to install.

Shutters arrived Monday, 7/27. That surprised me a little, as I had expected an email advising me that they had been shipped (maybe that's buried in my "junk" folder ... I don't know). Anyway, I opened the package and am VERY IMPRESSED with the product and workmanship. Much nicer than the original shutters installed by the home builder.
